Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace Classes (08/13/10)

Pastor Lanny is encouraging every one of us to get out of debt, start saving, and find true financial freedom. We are offering a video class by Dave Ramsey with Financial Peace University. The classes are being offered from 7 to 9 PM on Monday in Lusby, or Tuesday in California, or Wednesday evenings in the sunroom at PRAG. The class runs 13 weeks from September 13 - December 15. The cost is $100 per household which includes a book, a very practical workbook, a full audio CD set of all of the classes, and lifetime access to special resources on http://www.daveramsey.com. E-Giving is here! (12/18/09)

Are you to the point where the only checks you actually write are to the church? PRAG is now offering e-giving as an option to paying your tithes, offerings, and special gifts. Simply go to our website, and click on the e-giving link on the left side of the home page, and it will take you to the sign-up page for E-Giving. When you sign-up, there is a pdf file that gives detailed instructions if you need them. However, the process is simple to use and very intuitive if you take the time to read through each screen. We have limited the transaction type to checking/savings account ACH (automated clearing house) only.We did not want to encourage credit card giving so that is not available when you sign up. By keeping transactions limited to EFT (electronic fund transfers), it also eliminates all the fees the credit card companies would charge us for processing. You will have full access to your transactions and records at all times. An e-mail notification is sent to you when the transaction is initiated and when it actually clears your bank. Staff members have been using it and it has worked seamlessly with no problems. You can give at any frequency you desire, or if your contributions do not change you can set it up to give for a defined period or indefinitely. When you are out of town, your contributions will continue without pause. If you are a regular e-giver, you can still participate in the offertory part of the worship service by filling in the details on your envelope as normal and put "E-gift" on the blank line instead of the dollar amount.
